With the early signing period just five days away the Indiana Hoosiers are still hot on the recruiting trail looking for the final pieces that could put together one of the best recruiting classes to come through Memorial Stadium in Bloomington. Today's addition is six-foot-one 240-pound running back Stevie Scott out of Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, NY.

Scott is a three-star prospect according to 247 Sports Composite rankings and rated as the 16th best player in New York State and the 89th best running back in the country. Scott de-committed from fellow Big Ten school Rutgers. Scott announced his commitment on Friday morning via Twitter and told HoosierHuddle.com via message that IU had the "perfect facilities, campus and environment".

On the field Scott is a tough runner who has a great stride and plays must faster than someone who is listed at 240 pounds. His highlight tape shows him routinely running through, around and past defenders. During his junior season in 2016 he ran for over 1,400 yards and 21 touchdowns at CBA. He is the second running back commitment in this class alongside four-star Ronnie Walker. Scott is the 21st commitment in IU's 2018 class who is currently ranked 39th nationally and ninth in the Big Ten. Scott had offers from 11 schools including Army, Boston College, Connecticut, Duke, Minnesota, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.
