The Indiana Hoosiers landed the third member of their 2023 recruiting class as three-star offensive lineman William Larkins committed to IU on Thursday evening. Larkins is listed at six-foot-four and 300 pounds and plays his high school football at Florida power Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Miami, FL. He is rated as the 794th best player nationally by 247 Sports.

IU jumped on Larkins early as the Hoosiers were one of three offers that included Florida Atlantic and Michigan. His primary recruiter according to 247 Sports was offensive line coach Darren Hiller while his secondary was Kasey Teegardin.

Larkins looks to play guard at the next level and has the potential to fall into the rotation early. He started at center in 2021 as Chaminade-Madonna went on to win the 3A State Championship.

247 Sports’ Cooper Petagna saw Larkins play in the Under Armour Showcase in Miami and had this to saw about the prospect:

“Another offensive lineman that impressed on Sunday was Chaminade-Madonna standout William Larkins. The junior from Hollywood (FL) impressed, displaying a strong frame and flashing some reactionary athletic ability at the center position. Larkins proved difficult to move throughout the afternoon and showed a natural ability to anchor in his pass set. Although he saw the majority of snaps at center today, Larkins appears to have the ability to play some guard if need be at the next level.”

Larkins is the third commitment to the Hoosiers class of 2023, which is ranked 36th nationally and ninth in the Big Ten early in the recruiting cycle.
