Hoosiers Add Second Commit to 2016 Class

On Tuesday afternoon the Hoosiers added their second commitment to the 2016 class, and it could not have come at a better time, as the natives were getting restless in Hoosier Nation. Ryan Smith, who picked up an offer from Indiana in late April which we reported here, announced on Twitter that he had committed to the Cream and Crimson, joining fellow Ohio native Peyton Ramsey.

Smith possesses excellent size at 6-foot-5, 280-pounds and could play on either side of the ball. During his junior season he recorded 18 tackles and 5 sacks for Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati. His Hudl highlights showoff his great length, strength, balance, and high motor.

Moeller Head Coach, John Rodenberg took to Twitter to congratulate Smith on his commitment, saying that, "They (IU) are getting a guy poised for a breakout year." The talented athlete first caught the Hoosiers eye last summer, when he attended their camp.

The next few weeks should see things to continue to heat up in recruiting for Wilson and his staff, as June has historically been a big month for the Hoosier.
