Early Signing Period 2022 Profile: Quarterback Broc Lowry

The early signing period for college football is now open and prospects and transfers are inking letters of intent all over the country. Hoosier Huddle will have profiles on all the football signees as well as an update from head coach Tom Allen.

Broc Lowry, a three-star quarterback out of Ohio, signed with the Hoosiers on Wednesday morning and will be enrolling for spring practice. While Lowry’s offer sheet and ratings don’t jump off the page, he has shown to be a winner and the type of quarterback to build IU’s offense around in the future.

Lowry is a three-time all-state selection and earned first-team honors as a sophomore and senior. He was also tabbed the Big 22 Ohio Player of the Year as a senior, co-Offensive Player of the Year and first-team All-Northeast Inland District as a sophomore and senior. He helped CHS to its first Ohio High School Athletic Association Division III state title as a senior and a 14-1 record. In that final game Lowry did it all winning game MVP and becoming the first first player in OHSAA history to lead the team in passing, rushing, and receiving yards in a state championship game.

At IU, Lowry will be thrown right into the mix at quarterback due to the transfers of Jack Tuttle (Michigan) and Connor Bazelak (TBA) as well as with Dexter Williams’ injury status uncertain. Lowry will battle with redshirt freshman Braden Sorsby for reps in the spring.
