The Indiana Hoosiers end the month of June with a bang as they collect their ninth verbal commitment, this one from 3-star safety Omari Stringer. Stringer, who pulled the trigger Monday night, is listed as a 3-star recruit by 247 Sports as well as in their composite rankings.  He is the 91st best safety in the nation and the 31st best player from his home state of Illinois.

The Land of Lincoln native is 6’4” and 208 lbs and was recruited by coach Kevin Wilson and defensive coordinator Brian Knorr. He is a big body who can lower the boom on the opponent. He has solid tackling technique and looks like he will be a big time contributor. Wilson and Knorr project him to play the hybrid “Bandit” position that will allow him to both rush off the edge and drop into coverage.

The Crimson Army 15 has gained another impressive player as they head into fall camp. Stringer had other offers from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Connecticut, and Missouri.  The Hoosier class is small thus far with nine commits, but all of them are ranked 3-stars or higher. His commitment has pushed the Hoosiers' 2015 class inside the Top 50 nationally and 10th in the Big Ten according to the 247 Sports rankings
