Three days! That is all that is left until the 2015 Hoosier football season kicks off at Memorial Stadium against Southern Illinois. So start making that grocery list for your tailgates and let's get to know the two Hoosiers who will be sporting the number three this season: Dominique Booth and Tyler Green.

#3

Dominique Booth

  • Ht/Wt: 6-1/205
  • Position: Wide Receiver
  • Year: Sophomore
  • Hometown: Indianapolis, Ind. (Pike)

Dominique Booth was a prized signing for the Hoosiers in February of 2014 after he flipped his commitment from the University of Tennessee. He was rated the number two prospect in the state and the 31st best receiver in his class, so expectations were extremely high.

Booth played in all 12 games as a freshman, starting the final six contest. He finished the year with just eight catches for 70 yards. His best game was a four catch 33-yard performance in a 13-7 loss to Penn State.

Booth came into 2015 with high hopes with quarterback Nate Sudfeld returning from injury. However, head coach Kevin Wilson did not list him on the two-deep for the season opener.

Tyler Green

  • Ht/Wt: 6-3/190
  • Position: Defensive Back
  • Year: Freshman
  • Hometown: Waldorf, MD (DeMatha Catholic)

Originally committed to the Buckeyes, Green switched his pledge to the Hoosiers on Dec. 14 of 2014. He played defensive back for head coach Elijah Brooks at Dematha Catholic where he led his team to back-to-back conference titles as a junior and senior.

Green has the potential to play either at corner or safety for the Hoosiers, but was left off the two-deep provided by the IU coaching staff, which would lead one to believe he will be redshirting this year.
