 #68

We’re closer than you think but sadly still pretty far from opening night against Ohio State. 68 Days to be exact, but close or not though Hoosier Huddle will be with you every step of the way and today that step involves looking at offensive lineman, Hunter Littlejohn.

Hunter Littlejohn (Redshirt Sophomore)

Height: 6’3’’

Weight: 300 pounds

Hometown: Powell, Ohio

Position: Offensive line

We’re in the grinding dog days of the countdown right now so it’s fitting we’ve touched on a number of players grinding for their playing time in the trenches. This year’s offensive line will be a mix of seasoned veterans and fresh faces. Hunter Littlejohn falls under the latter category.

Littlejohn redshirted in 2015 and was named scout team player of the week once. In 2016 he made just one appearance, the game at Rutgers. That lack of experience may be a little alarming, but it also may be an easier transition given that the entire offense will be learning Mike DeBord’s new scheme. Littlejohn won’t be playing much catchup and should be just as familiar with the playbook as his teammates by opening night.

In our original two-deep roster prediction we had Littlejohn slotted as the starting right guard and so far have no reason to change that.  From Olentangy Liberty High School in Ohio, Littlejohn was a stellar high school player, earning first team all-state, all-metro, all-district and all-conference as a senior. This year the former 34th ranked prospect out of Ohio should begin to show us why he was so highly touted.
