Jaquez Smith came into IU as a very talented freshman, but he redshirted his freshman year and didn’t see any playing time last season.

Smith came in as a four-star recruit and is needed in a depleted wide receiver room. The wide receiver room last season struggled with production, but with new offensive coordinator Walt Bell, the Hoosiers will look to revamp the offense.

Last season he won scout team player of the week during the Western Kentucky week.

During his high school career, Smith was a three time Atlanta Journal Constitution Preseason All American. He was also named the top receiver by the TD club of Atlanta three times. ESPN ranked Smith as the No. 26 receiver nationally.
