We are now 91 days away from the start of the 2018 IUFB season. It may be hard to believe, but Jacob Robinson is now a senior. His time in Bloomington has flown by. Robinson arrived at IU in 2015 after a decorated high school career where he earned Indiana Football Coaches Association (IFCA) Top 50 selections in 2013 and 2014 as well as being named to the Indianapolis Star Super Team during his junior and senior seasons.
During his freshman season in 2015 Robinson played in all 13 of Indiana’s games while racking up five tackles and a tackle for loss. As a sophomore, Robinson saw his playing time increase. He started seven games and played in 11-of-13 games. He made 17 tackles, three TFLs including his first career sack against Penn State.
Last season, Robinson started all 12 games for the Hoosiers making 26 tackles with seven TFLs and four sacks. His best game came in a win at Illinois where he delivered a career best seven tackles, 3.5 TFLs, two sacks and a forced fumble.
Robinson enters his senior season as the leader of the defensive line room and can be used at both the tackle and end position. He is primed to cap his Hoosier career off with a bang as every season for him has statistically been better than the last.
