Highlight Tape

Tim Baldwin was a later addition to the 2020 recruiting class but the 6-foot and 195-pound running back is a welcome addition to an already talented position group. Baldwin recently de-committed from the Michigan Wolverines and quickly committed to the Indiana Hoosiers over offers from Georgia Tech, Boston College, Maryland, Northwestern and others.

Baldwin is a good athlete with quickness. At less than 200 pounds, he’ll need to add size in order to be a consistent factor at running back in the Big Ten. The prospect from Virginia showed a good burst on highlight clips and he looks to have terrific vision when looking for holes in the line.

Tim Baldwin carried the ball 233 times for 1,604 yards with 25 touchdowns and added 14 receptions for 192 yards with two more scores on his Patriot High School squad that finished 10-2. He compares favorably to current Hoosier and fellow Virginia-native Ronnie Walker. With Sampson James, Stevie Scott and Walker all returning for the 2020 season, I would expect Baldwin to see some action in four games but redshirt. However, running back is a very demanding position so it would not be shocking if injuries force him into earlier than expected duty.
