The Indiana Hoosiers have hit the transfer portal to fill a need along the offensive line as Dylan Powell officially signs with the Hoosiers. Powell played in 20 games for the Cardinal before sitting out the 2019 season with an injury and the expectation is that Powell will receive a waiver for a sixth year of eligibility, giving him two seasons to play in Bloomington.

Powell has the ability to play either the guard or center position, but will most likely see his time at right guard in 2020. His addition gives the Hoosiers depth for next season on the interior of the line as the Hoosiers replace Hunter Littlejohn and Simon Stepaniak.

When he announced his commitment to Indiana earlier this month he told Peegs.com writer Matt Weaver that he just “felt really comfortable with the coaches after I visited there. When I was able to sit down with Coach (Tom) Allen and Coach (Darren) Hiller I just felt so comfortable. They genuinely care about their players, and I can tell the players love playing for them. I’m just excited to get the chance to work with them and the players. I felt real comfortable around the players when I was there, and I can’t wait to get there and get to work with them.”
