The 2015 Indiana Hoosiers recruiting class is really starting to shape up with about a month left until National Signing Day. On Sunday night the #CrimsonArmy15 got one more soldier when 3-star defensive end Brandon Wilson became the 18th prospect to verbally commit to play for the Hoosiers. Wilson, a 6-4 240 lb. linebacker defensive end hybrid is ranked by 247 Sports as the 50th best defensive end and the 935th best overall player in the nation. The Winter Garden, FL native was originally committed to play for the University of Virginia when he changed his mind and switched his verbal to IU. Wilson took an official visit to Bloomington back on December 12th and has been recruited hard by head coach Kevin Wilson and co-defensive coordinator William Inge.
Brandon Wilson had some big time offers from schools such as Wisconsin, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Purdue, and Virginia among many more. Wilson will fit in perfectly at the Bandit position, a defensive end/linebacker hybrid in Brian Knorr’s defense. Knorr himself took to Twitter to say that this was a “big time Boom”. His commitment to the Hoosiers pushes IU’s class to 45th nationally and seventh in the Big Ten.
