#CrimsonArmy15: Tommy Stevens in Number Three for 2015
/Written By Sammy Jacobs (@sammyj108)
Kevin Wilson’s staff has landed their third and biggest commit in the 2015 class today in three-star quarterback Tommy Stevens. The 6’3” 196lb signal caller is ranked as the 7th best player in the state of Indiana, the 20th best dual threat quarterback, and the 556th best player in the 2015 class by 247 Sports’ composite rankings. Stevens announced his decision on Twitter this morning.
Stevens is a local grab for the Hoosiers out of Decatur Central in Indianapolis. In his junior season he threw for 1,621 yards and 15 touchdowns while completing 58.8% of his passes. Stevens also ran for 1,059 yards and 10 touchdowns. Rivals.com has Steven running a 4.65 40-yard dash. He was recruited to Bloomington by offensive coordinator Kevin Johns and defensive co-coordinator William Inge. The Hoosiers beat out several big named schools for his services, including Michigan State, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Boston College, and Purdue.
Stevens will probably redshirt his freshman year as the Hoosiers will probably have both Tre Roberson and Nate Sudfeld for their senior seasons in 2015, and will add 2014 recruit Zander Diamont to the mix as well. Check out Tommy's highlights below.
