2024 OL Austin Leibfried commits to Indiana

New offensive line coach Bob Bostad continues to mine his former stomping grounds as the Indiana Hoosiers added another offensive line recruit from Wisconsin to the 2024 recruiting class. Austin Leibfried, a 6’6” offensive tackle prospect from Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, chose the Hoosiers over offers from Air Force, Coastal Carolina, Syracuse and several Ivy League schools. Leibfried is the second offensive line commit from the state where Bostad coached for several years, joining Mitch Verstegen. He is the fourth offensive line commit in the 2024 class with Adedamola Ajani and Evan Lawrence also in the class.

It seems likely he will be the final high school offensive lineman the Hoosiers take in the 2024 class as there are now 16 commits. Leibfried is a three-star commit and is considered a prospect for the offensive tackle position. He visited Indiana during the weekend of June 16th and told peegs.com’s Matt Weaver he had a “great time” on his visit. The Hoosiers quickly moved to the top of his list and he ended his recruitment by committing to Indiana on Friday afternoon.

Indiana will still be looking to add players at both defensive end and defensive tackle and they will likely try to bring in at least one high school running back.

Hoosier Huddle will continue to bring coverage of the offseason and the developing 2024 recruiting class.
