The Hoosier Huddle Countdown to IUFB Kickoff is rolling on to day 62. Today we look at offensive lineman Drew Evans who is in his second season with the Hoosiers after transferring from Wisconsin.

Hometown: Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin (Fort Atkinson)

Previous School: Wisconsin

Class/Position: RS Sophomore

After redshirting the 2022 season offensive lineman Drew Evans transferred to Indiana to play under offensive line coach Bob Bostad who held the same position at Wisconsin. Evans did not see the field in 2023 either in the last year of the Tom Allen Era.

Evans represents an important depth piece for the Hoosiers who struggled the last three years upfront. While IU feels comfortable with their starting five upfront, Evans is a player who could be able to step in at either guard or tackle and provide much needed depth for the Hoosiers in 2024.
