2024 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 14 Days (Kaiden Turner)

The Hoosier Huddle countdown to kickoff carries on! For the 100 days leading up to kickoff, we at Hoosier Huddle will feature every player from the 2024 roster in anticipation of Indiana’s first game of the season against Florida International University. Today, we highlight a returning linebacker for the Hoosiers, Kaiden Turner.

Kaiden Turner (Redshirt Sophomore)

Hometown: Fayetteville, Arkansas

Height: 6’0”

Weight:  228 Pounds

Position: Linebacker

It has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride through the first two seasons for Kaiden Turner, who joined the Hoosiers as a part of the 2022 high school recruiting class as a 3-star recruit out of Arkansas. He got off to a quick start his freshman year, appearing in four games and even starting once, really blossoming towards the end of the season. He finished the year in the Old Oaken Bucket game with a game-high nine tackles, seven of which were solo, and it looked like surely Tom Allen had found his next Micah McFadden linebacker.

Last year, however, was a bit of a different story. Turner appeared in six games, but he primarily played on just special teams. He finished the season with just two tackles.

2024 will present Turner with a new opportunity to get in with the new coaching staff and build off of his freshman season. He should be in the rotation and if he can get back to how he looked early in his career, he could see major playing time.
