2023 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 70 Days (Anthony Miller Jr.)

The 2023 edition of the Hoosier Huddle Countdown is officially underway! We are counting down from 100 to the beginning of the 2023 Indiana University football season. Each day, we will look at one (or two) players on the current Indiana football roster and highlight the player’s role in the upcoming season. Today we look at incoming freshman Anthony Miller Jr.

Name: Anthony Miller Jr.

Hometown: Duluth, Georgia (Duluth)

Position: Athlete

Year: Freshman

Height/Weight: 6’5”/250 pounds

Miller’s position with the Hoosiers is yet to be determined. He can play both sides of the ball and play them well. On offense he plays tight end where he made 63 catches for 1,008 yards and 12 touchdowns during his high school career. On defense, Miller played defensive end where his explosiveness makes him an intriguing prospect at that position.

The IU coaching staff will have to determine where Miller fits with the Hoosiers. Indiana has needs at both tight end and on the edge of the defense. If he can provide a pass rush from the edge, that may be his quickest path to playing time, but only time will tell where Miller will play.
