2023 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 69 Days (Carl Biddings)

The 2023 edition of the Hoosier Huddle Countdown is officially underway! We are counting down from 100 to the beginning of the 2023 Indiana University football season. Each day, we will look at one (or two) players on the current Indiana football roster and highlight the player’s role in the upcoming season. Today we look at walk-on transfer Carl Biddings.

Hometown: Brownsburg, Indiana (Center Grove)

Position: Defensive Line

Year: Redshirt Sophomore

Height/Weight: 6’2”/293 pounds

Biddings comes to Indiana as a walk-on after transferring from Louisville. Biddings is from Brownsburg, Indiana and attended Brownsburg High School before transferring to Center Grove.

Biddings was a preferred walk-on at Louisville and saw one game of action in his two seasons with the Cardinals. Biddings entered the transfer portal after the coaching change at Louisville at the end of the 2022 season. He was in for spring practice with the Hoosiers. IU has had success with walk-on defenders from Center Grove under Allen (see Matt Holt) so the hope is that Biddings can add some depth up front and down the road get meaningful snaps.
