Bonds enters his fourth season with the program after playing in all 12 games last season. Out of Crowley High School, Bonds was the No.51 ranked Safety according to ESPN. He received interest from multiple power five schools including Air Force, Army, and Minnesota. Bonds was recruited by Kasey Teegardin after tallying 300 career tackles, six interceptions, and eight fumble recoveries in high school 247 Profile.

Last season was Bonds most productive as a Hoosier. He made his first career fumble recovery against Ohio State and also made four tackles against the Buckeyes. To add, he got valuable playing against other Big 10 Schools.

This season Bonds will have a chance at being the Hoosiers starting strong safety, although he will have to prove himself.
