I’m a car guy. I love car shows, museums, and reading about them. Cars play a role in hundreds of movies, from being the star of the show ( Bond’s Austin Martin, Christine) to being just part of the supporting cast.
What are some of your favorite movie cars?

@openwheel My first thought as well! Also liked the Shelby Matt Damon was driving in Ford vs Ferrari. I'm not much of a car guy though, but those jumped out at me as cool!
The Mustang in Bullit always made me smile a bit though, from the sound.
Because I first saw the movie on TV around 1978 after I had been going to the Indy 500 with my Dad a few years. The Cosworths and the Ford (Foyt) engines V-8s would come by with a high pitch sound at about 9500-10k rpm and in the movie Bullitt the Mustang would have this loud throaty rumble making it sound like it was 3k or something. Didn't sound fast. But I guess it had that American torque!
McQueen tried to buy it years later from a guy who bought it at a good deal, back before movie cars were a thing. But the guy didn't sell. I guess there were basically two with the camera mounts for the movie, one was somewhat trashed but I think later restored. The one McQueen mostly drove and wanted later was bought in pretty good shape.

Definitely the '68 fastback from Bullit. Lots of other good suggestions for a list so far.
I'd add the Delorean from the Back to the Future movies, John Wick's '69 Boss, Herbie the Love Bug, and the '58 Fury from Christine.

@hooky we had an awesome awesome day you'd appreciate. my minion and i went to this place outside of town that has a shit ton of mini trains. the guys wear conductor bibs and all that and they run trains all day. old guys. and kids. and they have a big garage where they repair the engines. the left side is bluffs and the right side teh meramec river. absolute blast

That sounds like a great day with him. I know he likes trains. Was he able to be hands on with anything or is it just rides?

@hooky no f no. these old goats may have been cosplaying conductors but they were very serious about these trains. there were a bunch of them broken down too they were tinkering with as well in great frustration.
