Booing is dumb. We have some dumb fans. Not a lot, but some.
But we’re making a mountain out of molehill. It wasn’t that bad. Overall the Minny crowd was very good.
I heard the booing, once, over the TV. Annoyed me, but it clearly was a relatively small subset of the crowd. Although very audible. Enough to annoy me... Even though I felt frustrated, I wouldn't boo. But then it was not heard again. Crowd seemed to try to make up for it. They seemed raucous at the right times.

His reaction to the booing is just as bad as the booing.
Booing is often nothing more than an easy way of showing displeasure/frustration with something. The opposite of cheering. No one has a way of talking loud enough to get across what they are thinking so it's cheer or boo (unless it is a cheer that everyone says in unison).
People get way too bent out of shape by booing. It doesn't always mean "you suck" which is how Fischer is misunderstanding it.
Maybe instead of towels, they can hand out megaphones and everyone can politely state their opinions lol
btw, if it was up to Fischer, we would still have Bill Lynch as our coach...because he thought fans were being unfair to him. He is just a cheerleader that thinks negativity about anything is unfounded.

This is right. There are a few around me that know nothing but have the loudest mouths. Extremely annoying but what can you do? I also feel the booing was not much and quieted down pretty quickly. I'll just say this. Don Fischer has 53 plus years of calling IU games home and away. Half a century of a program hoping to win enough games to be bowl eligible only to fail 75% of the time prior to these past 3 seasons. He has likely seen first hand more bad football and "boo worthy" performances than 99.9% of the rest of us. His opinion on this is tempered by a pretty unique perspective and I respectfully defer to that.
