I didn’t see any science. I haven’t seen anyone say there are testosterone or estrogen differences. No chromosomal differences. Same species. It’s a lifestyle choice
I'm sorry I didn't explain in more detail, but it is science I was referencing. Consider the two types of studies I mentioned:
In twin studies, it's found that identical twins are more likely to share the same sexual orientation than fraternal twins. If it were purely a choice, you wouldn't expect that correlation. However, if there's a genetic component to sexual orientation, you would, and that makes sense in this case, because identical twins share the same DNA, while fraternal twins are no more related than any other non-twin siblings.
In birth order studies, it's found that first-born sons are least likely to be gay, while second-born sons are slightly more likely, and third-born sons even moreso, and so on. Basically, there is a statistical correlation between how many older brothers you have, and how likely you are to identify as a homosexual male. Again, if it were purely a choice, there would be no such correlation. However, if there is something at play here with hormones during gestation, or environmental effects during childhood, that could explain it.
Does that mean we have it all figured out? No. But it does mean that we have actual data that is inconsistent with the idea that it's purely a choice.

@goat i'm literally laughing out loud. my old college teammate. he was a senior when i was a soph so i only knew him for a year but he's on our team chat group had a similar series of f ups as i did. two exes. he blocked both of them the day his kids turned 18. i laugh out loud every time i say it lol. he showed me too. i mean it just has to be so fing liberating. BOTH of my exes text me every single day of the week. it's just horrible. my daughter's mom is single and i can tolerate it bc she does need help. but still.

If I were you, I don't think blocking would send the right message. I'd actually change my number on the day the kid turns 18. Let her hear that robot female voice say "this subscriber is no longer in service."
