is Springsteen the most overrated musician of all time? Seemingly the only people who enjoy his music are (unacceptable word) Boomers...

Classy.  How do you feel about Mellencamp? Seems like he was wildly popular until people like you finally noticed that he's always been "woke" and bailed.

Mellencamp has been a hypocritical douche nozzle for a good long time.  Like his older stuff, but wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.

Mellencamp was a punk back in the day when he played in church basements.

@shooter good lord how miserable.  legend is married to that total whackjob insufferable woke chick.  bruce springsteen looks like an absolute clown at this point.  and people wonder why no one wants dems in office.  yet they keep pointing to these hollywood/celeb freakshows as though this is a good thing.  worked great last election.  F off with all of these out of touch uninformed, uneducated people

Saw Springsteen and the E Street Band in Columbus in April 2024. That was my fifth time and my wife's sixth. He still packs in the crowd, the arenas were sold out every time I've seen them. Puts on a great 3 hour plus show. I've been to a ton of concerts, and I can't think of any that were better than a Springsteen concert. I was happy to see that our section had a large number of 20s and 30s aged people, and I don't think they ever sat down. I've always disliked his politics but he's one hell of a performer. I long ago decided that the liberal political beliefs of actors and musicians are irrelevant to me. "Boycotting" them would mean missing out on a lot of great movies and shows.

I am sure the concerts are much more enjoyable without cpro there.  Let him make up dumb reasons not to attend

@big-ryan

want to compare education?  Don’t question mine when you clearly don’t understand the meaning of the word unprecedented.  NOTHING compares to the assault on democracy perpetuated by the Dems. Nothing.  It’s still absolutely unfathomable.   That you have the temerity to broach Trump after that is comical.  There has never been a greater assault on democracy than the Biden years. And it’s not even close.

the rest of your rant on ACTUALLY relevant matters that aren’t the bleating of a cosplaying academic as far removed from reality as one can be I don’t disagree with.  He has been a disastrous president.

but the democracy shit is nonsense. 28 will be a much fairer election than anything we saw from the Dems in 24.  Why?  Because Trump is no threat to democracy.  He’s just a really crooked and bad president

What is insane is pubs literally assaulted D.C. and you are here lying about the Dems assaulting democracy.

You are an ignorant p o.s

@hurryinghoosiers huh?  Trump challenged the election in court as was his right.

did you vote for Harris to be the Dem candidate?  No. No one did.  Dems demonstrated themselves to be the biggest threat to democracy since our founding.  This was the biggest fraud perpetuated. Second is Dems with covid.

dems have circled the drain the last decade

this shouldn’t be hard. Even for you, a person impervious to facts, data, law, etc.

@hurryinghoosiers whenever you and bowl and shooter and mark get so irate over Trump. So appalled. You need to realize how we got him twice. THAT is how gross Dems are today

“However, we’ve had some real problems with Vandalism at the beautiful Reflecting Pool.”

He claimed that unnamed individuals have “done everything possible to hurt the inside surface that was just installed” in an attempt to “destroy and demean our beautiful work.”

The 80-year-old Republican then singled out Jonathan Karl, an ABC News reporter, who he said “was seen sticking his hand into the Pool, and trying to rip the rubber off of the surface.” In a broadcast segment on Friday, Karl reached into the shallow pool and grabbed a chunk of floating material.

Would be great if Jonathan Karl sued him for defamation.

That’s an obvious and unbelievable lie but many of his loyalists will believe it and repeat it.

Trump is the plaintiff in several actions against various media outlets (including the Wall Street Journal, NYT, BBC and CNN) alleging defamation, and one against the Des Moines Register with allegations of consumer fraud (he didn't like one of their polls that showed him behind in Iowa).

He's also got a defamation case going against the Pulitzer Prize board, angry that they refused to rescind Pulitzer prizes awarded to the Washington Post and New York Times for reporting on Russian interference in the 2016 elections (a bipartisan Senate panel confirmed that the Russians interfered in the 2016 election in an effort to help Trump win). He has failed to provide discovery in his case against the Pulitzer Prize board, arguing that he's too busy.

For those who claim Trump is just another in a line of bad presidents, he's the first president since Nixon to go after the press like this, and the number of suits far exceeds those that Nixon filed.  It's an "unprecedented wave of litigation against the press, seeking tens of billions of dollars for claims that no other modern president has even tried to pursue," and it's an affront to the First Amendment.

He can't establish damages in the defamation actions and they otherwise lack merit, but it's not about winning the cases. "These lawsuits can advance Trump’s goals even if he never wins. Litigation is expensive, and Trump himself has acknowledged that saddling his perceived enemies with onerous depositions is part of the point. Knowing the president is willing to rush to court could intimidate smaller outlets into easing up on Trump."

Trump is still going after the press in court. Here’s where his lawsuits stand. - POLITICO

@bar-down it is not Trump's right to call Georgia officials and try to pressure them to change the election results.

It was not his right to tell his supporters to storm the Capitol and hang Mike Pence.

Any person that still supports that traitor is an ignorant moron and a piece of shit
