Too little too late
Makes sense. They are setting up Hegseth to take the fall for poor midterm results so that they can feel more "justified" in firing him (ultimately to avoid the embarrassment of him being impeached).
This also buys them more time to try to get results in the war because they can say that the war effort is now under new management, which may help them avoid congress going through the war powers act and forcing their hand.

The Hegseth, Noem and Bondi appointments were among the worst in the history of American presidential administrations.

It's laughable that a major part of this administration's agenda was doing away with DEI in order to hire more qualified people based on merit. And then they appointed those meritless losers.

@ohio-guy Classic Bondi clip. Hard to believe she was the AG. She's like a 13 year-old girl. Or one of those Real Housewives wackjobs.

Yes, Mr. Vance.
The reason you lost was the Iran war.
And for nearly every other decision you and the administration have made.
,
He's completely correct and to be fair, Vance has been against almost everything Trump has done from the start. The war (that's why Trump left he and Gabbard back home when the campaign began), tariffs, Israel first, not releasing Epstein, lack of deep state accountability, etc. I'm not sure how much he can separate himself from the administration at this point but had he been in charge from the get go things would be very different.
I didn't see all those hispanics polled in Texas say the reason they voted D was because of the war? Was it?
If 'general incompetence' is a reason, that's pretty much it. Don't #### with Iran, Rs were still going down. And to latch onto a singular reason like that means Vance doesn't get it. Sure, lying about non-intervention and then tripling down on such things, was stupid, agreed there.
ICE is another at least equal reason he went down. Missiling suspected drug boats, 'southern spear' -or whatever ridiculous warlike name they came up with. Obamacare falling apart (expected, and a 'feature not a bug' if you are Democrats) and failure to even address it. Thinking 'environmental issues' meant merely opening up lands for oil and gas. Demonizing gays and trans in such a tone deaf manner. DOGE being done stupidly.
Other than another few dozen things. But general idiocy pretty much works as a reason.

All of this is true, but if you had to point to a single thing that most created this blue wave, the war is probably it. So he's not exactly lying.
This is the way. 🔥 🔥

Part of the reason. Their policies also suck and there is the whole family corruption thing as well. But lets just pretend it was just the war that did it lol

If he was really against those things and had a spine, he would have said no to being Trump's VP.
Compliance by silence is still compliance. The same as republicans in Congress that wouldn't do anything other than tow the party line. Don't come out now and claim you were against anything.

Incompetence - Is the single thing.
Next, maybe the war. But about tied with ICE. I would say behind ICE. Both a bit ahead of tariffs.
For Vance to claim it was the war just isn't true. If oil prices were down they still would've been smoked. And I don't see the voting public delving into gains and losses over there militarily, all they see is the price of gas and diesel.
He's not lying, he's just hiding his head in the sand. I understand it would be hard for him to look in the mirror and realize the hundreds of other things his administration has perpetrated, and which have set back the Republican party for years.
