As dbm said, this is a coverup for the intelligence agencies - they probably had someone there who was getting Intel on visitors and don't want that revealed. Trump and Patel probably saw that and decided not to reveal what may be on ongoing intel operation.

I said I didn't know if Trump - as Elon has claimed - was on the list, but none of what you said would absolve him from any wrongdoing if he was.
Again, I don't know why anyone from either the Biden administration or Trump administration are withholding any or all of the Epstein files. I do know that the loudest voices shouting to have the files released now serve in a capacity to actually release all the files. Had they not spent the better part of the last 6 or so years railing on their release, no one would be talking about the Epstein files today.
It just seems odd that that that was the hill they chose to die on, only to clam up when they actually could release the files.
