@squeakyclean ehhh.  what are we estimating 10 to 20 billion in minnesota.  walz.  the lefty vp choice.  ilhan.   waste and bullshit and corruption in gov is baked in.  trump sucks.  that's doubtless. but you can't talk about it in a vacuum.  what's the alternative?  that's always the germane bit.  cori bush of blm 69 iq fame is running again against bell.  our community has endless problems.  you know what bell's commercials are every day. "he's in dc working non stop to get us the epstein files."  a city with horrific decay, urban flight, horrific education, top 5 annually in crime, roads that look like the grand canyon, he's working to get us the epstein files.  that's number one to him.

trump and his disciples suck means nothing without viable alternatives

So, as expected, he took a voluntary dismissal of this bogus, unconstitutional case today and settled it for $1.8 billion. He and many others will now profit from litigation that wasn't valid to begin with.

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST CASE OF CORRUPTION IN THE HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN PRESIDENCY.

People need to vote out the mo'f*ckers who have enabled, and continue to enable, this dirtbag.

Trump Drops IRS Suit—As DOJ Announces New $1.776 Billion Fund

This is ridiculous and should anger anyone who has ever claimed to be someone concerned with how tax dollars are spent. I know he's talked about any earnings he'd win from the suit going to charity. I'd hope someone does some in depth follow up on where this money ends up.

@ohio-guy The fund will be controlled by a secret commission Trump appoints and removes at will.  There will be no way for any independent third party to trace disbursements and/or kickbacks to Trump.

Yes, Trump has said he'll donate anything he gets to charity, but we know how that will go.  His charitable foundation was shut down because he was stealing from it.

Yeah, I figured as much. It's so strange how he can whine and cry about the media being unfair to him and then stuff like this happens largely unchallenged. I wish members of the 'mainstream media' were actually as hard on him as he claims they are.

All of his biggest grifting schemes are initially reported, but then met with a collective shrug. I wish someone would pull on one of these threads and expose him and his family.

If you look around the world and back in history, there's plenty of evidence that autocrats play the "victim" card, and Trump plays it very well.  It's a core strategy of autocrats. By portraying themselves as victims of fraud and targets of shadowy conspiracies, hostile media, and other enemies, they deflect blame for policy failures, justify aggressive crackdowns, and rally their supporters through shared grievance.

Blanche today: "The machinery of government should never be weaponized against any American."

The comment comes three weeks after his Comey seashells indictment.

What a disgrace.  He's just there to do Trump's personal bidding.  Ethics, the law and the Constitution be damned.

This stuff should ensure he doesn’t get confirmed should the President officially nominate him. Will Republicans in the Senate find their backbones?

The whole idea that the 'machinery of the government' was weaponized against Trump for no reason is laughable. The idea that he needs to be compensated for being rightly prosecuted is insane. Creating a fund to pay pardoned insurrectionists is just stupid.

What's really sort of surprising is how many sycophants there are to carry his water.

There's a learned helplessness mind set that has set in. They guy gets away with everything. He has broken the system that was supposed to rein him in and hold him accountable.

Trump did the worst thing a US president has ever done.  He lied (and CONTINUES to do so) that an election was stolen from him, he interfered in Georgia and other jurisdictions in an attempt to illegally change the vote, he pressured Pence to stop the electoral college certification, and he attempted a self-coup.  Pence grew a pair on Jan 6 or the whole thing likely would have unraveled.

Trump's actions were criminal and Jack Smith's DC indictment against Trump was a strong case.

Creating a fund to pay pardoned J6 rioters, including cop beaters, is corrupt and unconstitutional.  It's a middle finger to law enforcement and the rule of law, condones lawlessness and actually promotes breaking the law ... if it's done in the name of the Almighty Trump.

Rational people can't become indifferent or numb to this lawlessness, though.  In fact, now more than ever it's important to speak out. 1A.  And VOTE.  And encourage other rational people to do the same.

Anyone who will stand up to Trump. I'd vote for Massie, Bobo, and MTG today if I could.
