@big-ryan

you didn’t post anything about accomplishments.  You posted about jobs that have produced zero accomplishments.

Seriously, what is your problem?  I posted about accomplishments.

Ossoff hype seems so inorganic. Guy is a back bencher.   How is he being floated as a Presidential nominee? This seemingly sprung up in the last month. I’m not conspiratorial, but it’s like he’s being seeded by the “powers that be”.

He’s thoroughly untested and unvetted on the national stage. Already put his foot in his mouth this week with his Natalie comments.

I will give him this. He seems like a normal dude. Which are in short supply in the Democratic Party these days.

We’ll see. Democrats certainly could do worse.

And Butch is such a moron. No one is trouncing Vance in a debate. I don’t even really like Vance, but his rhetorical skills are pretty unmatched among the current political leadership in this country. The guy with the mumbo jumbo poly sci degrees is going to embarrass the Yale Law grad and best selling author? Good grief, Bowl is a moron.

Yes, Vance would get his ass kicked.

I'm not questioning his intelligence.  His problem is he's a stiff at the podium, like Nixon. He's rigid, awkward, guarded, overly analytical and lacks any kind of natural warmth.

Finally, you are the LAST person who should be weighing in on who is or isn't "normal."  LMAO.

Idiotic. The guy routinely does 2-3 hour podcasts. His speaking style is as conversational as it comes. In fact, he needs to harness more of that tone and temperament that we saw in the Walz debate if he wants to be President. A debate, I’m sure you believe Walz won because you’re a moron.

It’s as if you’ve never seen the man speak.

@carramrod I’ll say another thing about this ossoff.  Pander to women on their crazy culture shit but the nuts and bolts stuff. Jobs. Economic. Policing etc. go moderate.  Politically that’s a pretty astute approach

He would never govern as a moderate.  It doesn't matter what he truly believes.  It doesn't matter what he promises to do.  Day 1 the border is opening wide up.  Woke stuff, DEI, wealth confiscation, etc.  There is no moderate Democrat.  Even Fetterman votes with the crazies every time.

@dbmhoosier that’s why I won’t vote Dem. Even for someone I like. Too risky.

You said Ossoff was some kind of investigative journalist.  Nick Shirley has more accomplishments.

Does Ossoff have plans to campaign with Angie Nixon?

The Natalie comment was no gaffe. It was a perfect illustration of Trump's priorities.

I get an Obama vibe from him. Not his speaking style (that's Shapiro's thing), but his ability to get his message across in succinct, no nonsense fashion. He's got a thin political resume, but what few policy positions he's taken seem reasonably mainstream liberal and there are no red flags. He does well with the black community it seems, which is huge in the Dem primaries.

Dems have a good bench. Ossoff, Beshear, Kelly, Shapiro... certainly could be others. AOC or any of that crowd aren't going to get the nomination, Murt's insistence notwithstanding.

@carramrod Podcasts.  LOL.  I said "at a podium."  He's a stiff and much of what comes out of his mouth is nutso.  A few gems: Pope Leo should be careful when discussing theology.  Childless cat ladies (you loved that one, I'm sure).  Haitians eating cats and dogs in Springfield OH.  Watergate and the cover-up were no big deal and shouldn't have brought Nixon down (probably trying to run cover for Trump with that nonsense).

He'll screw up royally on a debate stage.

@unclemark Spot on.

There's a DSA candidate running for Senate in Florida.  There's a moderate Dem running for governor there.  The DSA candidate (Nixon) will get trounced in November, and the moderate (Jolly) will be in a close race.

AOC, as you've noted, has no chance at the nomination in '28.  She would be certain to lose in the general.

@bar-down vance has done nothing with his insignificant little life.  He even needed a sugar daddy to get him his first, and only, govt job.  I think Buttigeig is terrible, but I’ll take him over vance any day.

@unclemark I would like more details from that opinion piece on why they feel worse off economically than under Biden.

chances are there are constant malcontents amongst us that will just be angry at whatever the current administration is - bereft of any actual data to support or contradict.

if it’s just higher gas prices from Iran war then fine. But that’s not enough to empower such a claim.

@theartistfkaranger for sure.  May also just reflect the cumulative impact of higher prices for four years now with credit debt depleted savings being realized now

Ossoff is a Jew and backs Israel.  Is that a red flag for a Democrat these days?  I think many have already written off Shapiro because he is a Jew.

Could be. I get the impression that Shapiro's "Jewishness" is more a part of his overall persona than it is for Ossoff. For one, the name Ossoff doesn't scream Jew! like Shapiro does.

Then again, I never thought they would nominate a black man, either (yet alone elect him).
