I think you are exaggerating the strength of the evidence of party alignment and beliefs. A better comparison would be that, say, you killed Sophie Cunningham. Why? Well, somebody who rode an uber with you one time said that you made a joke about trannies. Obviously it's completely true then that you killed her because you hate trannies, right?
