The tweet @oneeyedundertaker posted made the claim that it was rigged. I do agree that there is always room for improvement. Voting is still being run by humans and there is always a chance for error in that instance. How is this proof of the election being rigged? Haven't they publicly announced there was a problem and publicly announced they're fixing it? If they were rigging the election, why wouldn't they just release the rigged results instead of saying they're going to fix the problem and release the results once they're fixed?

I don’t trust the people in charge & will be dubious of results when these types of anomalies, snafus, or however you want to characterize what continues to transpire in elections involving Dems. Dems continue to oppose secure elections, & there is only one real reason, it preserves the ability to cheat. I don’t believe that minorities & women are too stupid or lazy to acquire the necessary proof to qualify as a voter like you do…

Context is key. If there is something wrong with reporting election results and there is a transparency around the safeguards and how to fix it, then OK. I'd never dismiss the idea that someone legitimately dropped the ball, owned up to it and is following a process to fix it. That's a big part of what being a responsible adult is about.
And for what it's worth, I didn't immediately dismiss the batshit crazy Trump sycophants out of hand. People like Mike Lindell, Sydney Powell and Rudy Giuliani gave us plenty of reasons to call them crazy and dismiss their claims of election fraud again and again and again...
No one is against 'secure' elections. That's a dumb way to frame things.

This is dumb. If there was a legitimate reason to extend vote counting or retallying, then have at it. You may be new to paying attention to things, but it happens somewhere in just about every nationwide election.
If Trump suddenly declared a state of emergency regarding polling locations or withholding votes without providing crystal clear and verifiable proof, then yeah I would be suspicious. Claiming voter fraud and either not providing proof or promising that it's coming (when it never does) has been his MO for the better part of the last decade.
And besides, the president doesn't oversee voting. It would be highly suspect for any president to order precincts or polling locations to be closed.

I'd have plenty of suspicions, considering the source, but your hypothetical isn't remotely close to what happened here. There were no "missing" votes. An election worker inadvertently hit an "audit" tab instead of the results tab for five of the machines. After the error was discovered, and with election observers and members of the press present, the results were then downloaded from the five machines in question. All of the Milwaukee County votes were counted and final results released early Wednesday morning.
