@bar-down The first term you could explain away as he wasn't really expecting to win, he listened to the wrong advisers, it was all new to him, etc. But this second term, man, he really looks like he's in over his head. I don't think he knows how to get out of the war. His entire foreign policy seems to be to simply throw random shit against the wall, hope something sticks, and then see how the markets react.

@unclemark he’s vain enough to care. These tariffs aren’t some lightbulb that went off. He’s been on that shit for decades. Then throw in a war when that’s really not his thing and I guarantee he cares and wants to be remembered as having done a good job. This term has been a rough ride

I honestly don't pin the upcoming midterms on him anymore than I pinned 2024 on Biden. You know my take on this. Everything is the cost of living crisis. That's just issue 1, 2, 3, and 4 for voters right now.
Part of me thinks the Senate isn't quite the fever dream it once was, but another part thinks we blew it in Maine and might blow it in Michigan. We'll know more tonight.

Sounds like he is selling insider info on his war updates. Maybe it is too profitable for him to want to get out of the war. What is it to him if he wastes billions of taxpayer dollars to make millions for himself and his family. . No wonder his accounts get flagged for money laundering

This is a really tough year to predict. I can see why the progressive wing thinks that they can actually win general elections this year. But still, it's Michigan. Why take the chance?
@goat I can take a lot of the other lies... for some reason, the Golfing stuff is too much, for me. The entire thing really is a wonderful example of all things Trump, right now. Golf though... damn it... its a gentleman's game, a game of honor, a game where checking yourself is part of the culture. And this phat phuck takes a dump on all of that, and gets trophies for it... ANNNND makes fun of his fellow golfers, essentially flicking the dump all over them, who either by force or just by being normal golfers, are actually abiding by the rules and the code. I don't know how he finds a field of players that will be down with that. But... as we've seen... honor, codes of conduct, morals even, are as flexible as his waist band, for too many people.

@squeakyclean For sure... I need to work on being more specific... I think Trump is one of the more awful humans, that are political world leaders, on the planet. And that's acknowledging that there are actual murders leading large groups, even countries. He's not worse than those particular people, obviously. But in the big scheme, he is an AWFUL human being.
