No doubt that's the case with Trump Devotion Syndrome because many completely ignore personal long-held principles, and cultural norms to defend the indefensible when it to demonstrate their loyalty to him. It'll be studied for decades.
I’m able to defend many Trump policies without compromising long held principles. I have never defended Trump’s unnecessary insults and put downs of others.
Mandami said awful things about Trump, yet Trump invited Mandami to the Oval Office to cordially discuss matters of mutual concern. I don’t think any politician of any stripe could/would have done that except Trump.
And why do you keep insisting Trump/MAGA are isolationists? That’s demonstrably false and ruins you anti-MAGA posts.
Added bonus is crime and gun violence would drop considerably
Of adults arrested for murder, 51.3 percent were Black or African American per the FBI.
That's 13 percent of the population accounting for half the murders? Do you think they are MAGA? I've noticed you seem to be more consistently wrong on this website than any other contributor. Are you okay?
@aloha-hoosier Correct. Politicians. Yet somehow you allow bias to impact yours. Trump and his hateful tweets. Old Republicans killing kids making up wars. Dems calling people Hitler and Nazis and leading innocent people like Kirk to be murdered. Why do you only care about one of the three? Because you can't contain your emotions and view things objectively. That's an inconvenient fact that your lack of self-awareness evinces.
America First is isolationism at its core. Pushing NATO away as we do in the National Security Strategy is a form of isolationism. On top of that we have protectionism, which is also not traditional conservative Republican. A large faction of MAGA was willing to allow Russia to conquer all of Ukraine - what is that if not isolationism at the expense of our national security and the security of the NATO alliance. No doubt that's the case with Trump Devotion Syndrome because many completely ignore personal long-held principles, and cultural norms to defend the indefensible when it to demonstrate their loyalty to him. You always say you don't defend Trump's insults and put-downs, but what you really do is just ignore them and then downplay them - the same as you're doing with Mamdani. The insults going back and forth there were exactly that, going back and forth. Trump's insults and putdowns are constant and cruel. His post about Rob Reiner was indefensible, yet many MAGA defend it by saying, "well, Reiner didn't like him, so . . ." Big deal. Did you see what he's posted after death of JFK's granddaughter:
@mrhighlife Oh no that's not remotely accurate. We do have an idea who will benefit the country and who won't. We can look at their makeup, the conditions they come from, whether there are certain things like religious zealotry that's inculcated that doesn't comport with our foundations, on and on. Did we really believe Somalis who don't speak English and have zero education would assimilate and thrive vs. persons from countries with different educational backgrounds etc.? Europeans etc. Don't be naive and don't try to project your naivety onto others.

@aloha-hoosier If you dropped the insults and focused on the protectionist/isolationist arguments you'd be far more persuasive. That is indeed a distinguishing factor between and old and new Republicans. I would argue that Maga is more widely supported in that regard as well. I just don't think there are many Americans, left, right, or independent, that align with old school trickle down police the world Republicans.
@aloha-hoosier Your assertion is belied by your contributions here that I have noticed in just a matter of a week or what have you.
You've been here way longer than a couple of weeks. You're the most emotional and angry man on the WC. LOL!@aloha-hoosier Your assertion is belied by your contributions here that I have noticed in just a matter of a week or what have you.
The mastermind of a good portion of the Somali fraud story. She should definitely be deported. Sadly though, she will probably get a pardon from President Trump. I wonder white...er... I mean...I wonder why?
@mrhighlife Or she knew these Somalis would be willing to commit fraud and was opportunistic? Because they are broke? Because they are from a culture of piracy? Because they want to send money back home?
And what was this woman doing with her cut? Certainly not microneedling! Her skin is the biggest tragedy of this entire sordid affair. Only marginally better than her washed out hair.
America First is isolationism at its core.
I don’t follow this argument. I think the opposite is true in practice. America first means America travels its own path.
Pushing NATO away
NATO was becoming a bureaucratic mess like the EU. NATO needs a kick in the ass. Trump did that as the Germans now show with a different military policy.
National Security Strategy is a form of isolationism.
Don’t follow.
On top of that we have protectionism, which is also not traditional conservative Republican.
Mixed bag here. Some protectionism for sure Covid showed us that we must protect and encourage domestic industry. Moreover, Trump also uses Tariffs as an instrument to impose our policy in the world that definitely is not isolationism.
A large faction of MAGA was willing to allow Russia to conquer all of Ukraine - what is that if not isolationism at the expense of our national security and the security of the NATO alliance.
The case that Russia should not control Ukraine because of our own interests is a weak one. We got along fine when Ukraine was Soviet state.

I g ore them because most of the time they are irrelevant.
His post about Rob Reiner was indefensible, yet many MAGA defend it by saying, "well, Reiner didn't like him, so . . ."
Reiner was neck deep in the Russia hoax. Yet I agree that Trump shudda said nothing.
Did you see what he's posted after death of JFK's granddaughter:
Hadn’t seen it. Agree Trump doesn’t know when to button it up.

Little mcracist here can tell you who will benefit the country simply by the color of their skin 😉
@hurryinghoosiers Why the laughing emoji when I gave you FBI data. I don't understand. Do you refute the data? If so can you please show your work? Without it I fear you're just engaging in plaintive bleating. Are you a student? High schooler? I know I can expect more from my fellow Indiana alums!
