@unclemark the left are long gone. They’re totally mental. A socialist in nyc. The same clown in la. Hoping for anything but AOC or Newsom or stay at home Pete or whatever woke lunatic is fool’s gold. They have zero common sense. Just incredibly stupid virtue signaling people
Our next leader will come from the right. Bc they understand we can’t have teen takeovers, Soros bs, open borders, and a massive welfare state where hardworking people are punished and deadbeats rewarded. Let’s just hope this candidate from the right is respectful, show common decency to the alphabet groups legal immigrants the other side etc through both his actions and his rhetoric. That shouldn’t be too much to expect
But there are people everywhere, including here, who love promoting the false narrative that, if you're not MAGA, you're for open borders, men in women's restrooms, men playing women's sports, trans people flashing their tits at the White House and during parades, and that you hate America.
Butch - one would assume from your posts, you are not MAGA. Neither am I.
Question - MAGA will die off with the end of Trump's presidency, however the immigration and trans issues you highlight above will remain core Republican red lines. Based on your statement above, it would seem you have some nuanced views on immigration and trans rights issues. In 2028, if the Dems nominate Newsom or AOC, it's unlikely your views will closely align with their platform. If the pubs nominate Rubio - what do you do? If you vote Dem at that point you're going to have to, essentially, become the caricature you make above, no?
This is exactly the point Lars, you get it. You can call yourself Independent, Libertarian, Tea Party, MAGA, whatever, but in today’s political climate you’re voting for one of the two things in my post. That’s it. No nuance, no moderate candidates are going to be on the ticket. People on the left are unwilling to confront the reality that voting for Democrats is a vote to replace the United States with a socialist, & very likely eventual Islamic dominated society.
The algorithms got ya, dude.
Most voters reject extremist views and are moderate in their beliefs, but that's not what you're being fed.
@big-ryan nyc just elected a socialist. AOC and progressives have dictated every last move of the left for a decade. Biden was a radical left with radical left policies. They inserted Harris and Walz. You’re lost in denial, dude. NYC voters chose a socialist. 66 percent of Dems view socialism positively
Oneeyedundertaker is spot on. Wake up. Left side of the country is not moderate. How many years of it walking like a duck before people like you get your head out of the sand. If lefty voters wanted a moderate they’d have it. News flash they don’t want that. They want socialism etc

Can you answer a few simple questions then?
What % of Dems favor socialism?
Do you think that Muslims do not want to take over, or are not capable?
People on the left are unwilling to confront the reality that voting for Democrats is a vote to replace the United States with a socialist, & very likely eventual Islamic dominated society.
"People on the left right are unwilling to confront the reality that voting for Democrats Republicans is a vote to replace the United States with a socialist fascist, & very likely eventual Islamic Christian Nationalist dominated society."
See how that works?
@unclemark What are people on the right trying to change about America?
Bump. Put up or shut up @unclemark.
@oneeyedundertaker nyc didn’t have to elect a socialist. LA didn’t have to pass on Pratt who was saying moderate common sense things. The left is not moderate. It votes for these radical lefties because it wants to. Why these people refuse to just accept it is so bizarre. Alt universe shit

No, he's wrong. And so are you.
The far left and far right are, by definition, not "moderate." But far left and far left isn't where most of the country is. Most are moderate in their political views, and they're looking for moderate candidates.
AOC, Mamdani and NYC voters are not representative of the rest of the country, yet you're broadly generalizing based on AOC's regional appeal.
You've also repeatedly suggested that you know what kind of candidate the Dems will nominate for president in 2028, over two years out - a radical lefty. You have no clue who the nominee will be and neither does anyone else. But I know who it won't be, and that's AOC.
As much as you're hoping 2028 will essentially be a repeat of 2024, that won't be the case. The Dems are focused on congressional gains in 2026, but they're also treating 2026 as a laboratory to test new messaging before scaling for 2028. The ultimate Dem nominee for president will be the candidate who most effectively highlights kitchen table issues and proposes practical solutions.
@big-ryan you couldn’t have it more wrong. First your use of “far” left is no longer applicable. The last decade evidences same. What was once the far left is simply the left. A vast majority of democrats have a positive view of socialism. The only candidates leading the party are what would have been once thought of as far left. Harris. Walz. AOC. Mamdani. These are now the core of the party as what was once thought far left is just the left today.
as for the rest of the country it’s red. The left is nyc Calif Chicago. Why do you think radical lefty stay at home Pete wants to dump the electoral college. Time to catch up with reality, dude your algorithms are feeding you garbage. Turn off your computer and open your eyes and think for yourself
As for kitchen table shit of course. But that’s not what the Dem will be about unless you count socialism as that. It’ll be culture Epstein files typical lefty insanity.

In his mind…Pete is a moderate
@spartans9312 that could be. He’s just lost as to the labels. But what I guarantee is the nominee will be a progressive as we understand it

@unclemark What are people on the right trying to change about America?
First thing that jumps out to me is trying to jam religion, Christianity, on people. America isn't a Christian only country, but the right insists we are.
But there are people everywhere, including here, who love promoting the false narrative that, if you're not MAGA, you're for open borders, men in women's restrooms, men playing women's sports, trans people flashing their tits at the White House and during parades, and that you hate America.

I think a vote for either extreme is nauseating to me. We need a return to the center. There’s something terribly wrong with our primary system but I’m not sure how to fix it.

This is a perfect example of the willful ignorance that will enable them.

The right insists that the country was founded on Christian values, & it was. It’s not the right or Christian’s pushing the anti-semitism we see today. If you’re talking about the pushback against Islam, I’d be interested to hear what your assessment of their agenda & values are & if that’s ok for society? Or if it’s not you feel we as a country to let it run its course?
