I've seen the ETFs etc. I'll trust you on Coinbase b/c this is the internet.@larsiu if you have an advisor have them buy one of the ETFs and talk about what percentage of your portfolio is reasonable (they'll probably say 1-5%). It's also best for tax purposes. If you want to buy it yourself, Coinbase is my first choice.
I teach my kids to trust only two things in life. People on the internet and people with candy at parks. I've used Coinbase for years. It's easy and you can set up auto buys.

nah, not clueless at all. there are plenty of instances where this admin really seems to favor nations sharing similar political ideology over more logical geopolitical choices. Was discussed at length in the Milei thread re: treatment of Argentina vs Brazil. Also, its initial stance re: Russia and Ukraine. Hell, it’s different approaches to Poland and Ukraine may be the best example.

elevance profit 1.3 bil 3rd quarter. state legislatures can legislate coverage for pre-existing. include a 6 month wait - often seen in er based plans. fine. poor are fine with medicaid. old medicare. the rest of us get rid of obamacare and start over. premiums here have probably gone up 300 percent in the last 15 years. as with deductibles. bs.

Obamacare was sold as the Affordable Care Act and sounded like a great idea to people who don't understand how economics work (aka 90% of the population). It predictably did not make costs more affordable and has also morphed into a subsidy for wealthy old people. Amy just said the quiet part out loud. Vote for us and we will give you "free shit". It's great in the short term for votes, but terrible for society overall. This is how socialism always ends up by the way.
Healthcare costs rise b/c there were two many cooks in teh kitchen from payor perspective. Too many middlemen. Single payor puts costs in check. Yes, I'm aware of the "stifle innovation" argument. I also don't agree with it.
Defense spending is single payor. Do we spend too much. Many would say yes, few would say it's stifled innovation.
