Democrats aren't getting rid of the filibuster. It benefits them. The government is 8x bigger than it was a 100ish years ago and they control 25% of GDP. Democrats are doing just fine with the current setup.

Good. Why would you not want Democrats or Republicans to implement their policies? I think Democrat policies or terrible, but if the voters want them, they should be implemented.
I don't want either party to be able to pass whatever they want just because they have 51 votes. That doesn't promote compromise and will just lead to pawning the other side once power changes hands.
If dems were advocating for getting rid of the filibuster, I'd be saying the same thing. It's a dumb idea. There's a reason it was put in place. Keep it that way.
There wasn't any compromise with Obamacare. The filibuster just makes it extremely difficult to cut back on government, which is why it's lasted. The secret is both parties like it because it allows them to not be held accountable to voters and they get to keep spending like drunken idiots.

No, it's a good idea. The GOP senate won't do it because they'd have to implement polices their voters want. Obamacare is the perfect example. It's a terrible policy that f#cks the middle and working classes. However, it will never be repealed because it takes 60 votes, so we're stuck with an awful policy. With the current system it's almost impossible to cut back government when it is implemented. So, over time it just keeps growing.

And if it's a really bad policy idea it will be much easier to repeal it. Obamacare was a terrible policy, but it's not going anywhere. Biden's border policy was beyond stupid, but the GOP can't pass anything to stop it from happening again, even when they control the entire government. The stupid idea is continuing the path we're on and expecting different results.

It might collapse, but it's generous to say Trump has a plan. I was against the ACA from the start because it was not going to be deficit and debt neutral (that was a lie and now it has been proven), people were not going to be able to keep their plan and Doctors if they wanted to (that was a lie for many), it wasn't going to reduce healthcare costs and it wasn't sustainable. However, healthcare is still a problem that needs a solution and it can't be completely partisan as ACA was.
