There are some reports that there are as many as 20,000 Haitian immigrants in Springfield currently. Adding/removing 20,000 people who pay taxes to a town that had a population of 60,000 before the Haitian immigrants came will have HUGE economic implications on the area. How could it not?

It's wild to me that the Haitian community wants to stay in Springfield and the local and state government and the overwhelming majority of the community want them to stay, but there are people that live at least a half day's drive from there beating the 'send them back to where they came from' drum like they're not talking out of their backsides.

Yep. Math isn't anecdotal. Tax revenues in Springfield are up and as you saw, things in and around the town improved dramatically over the last decade or so. That's why Springfield's mayor and Ohio's governor have spoken out against revoking TPS. It's a fact that Springfield has benefited from the influx of tax dollars. But, again, adding as many as 20,000 people to a city of just under 60,000 people is going to greatly impact the bottom line, even if they're in lower tax brackets. I'm sure there is an increase in government services used, but I'd guess that is proportional.

Haitan TPS was first granted in 2010 for an Earthquake. That was dumb, but still in line with what TPS is for which is armed conflict, environmental disasters, or extraordinary temporary conditions.
It's 16 years since the earthquake, the extraordinary violence is self-evidently not temporary, there is no official armed conflict but rather gang wars. There is no basis to continue the TPS. If a country simply being dangerous is the basis for TPS then by that standard every dangerous country ought be granted TPS.
And that has been the position of Democrats. If a country meets their subjective definition of dangerous enough, then their citizens get TPS in perpetuity.
