You consider these people to be the worst possible option going forward because their socialism ideals are going to ruin the country. While I am not fond of the progressives, I think the far greater threat to this country is people willing to sacrifice their ideals in order to "win".

You are a lawyer. You took an oath that included fidelity and ethics to discharge your duties with honesty, follow rules of professional conduct, protect client confidences, and never intentionally mislead a judge or jury.
With that "guilty or not" statement, you are championing bypassing the law you swore to uphold in order to punish someone you don't agree with. Even if you think that her policies could lead to a dark future, it's still only a POTENTIAL future. You want people to break the law for a future "maybe"?
Is that really the type of person you want to be?
I'm not perfect. I absolutely have my flaws. But if holding to ideals of honesty and the rule of law makes me a goosestepping idealist, then so be it. That applies to both sides of the aisle. Any democrat that says the same thing "Guilty or not", I will say the same thing to them. Be better. Don't sacrifice your ideals and integrity because it's convenient. Work the problem the right way, even if it's harder.
Otherwise, the escalation continues, and it gets harder every day to make it right.
