So Vivek is claiming she's an addict?
He’s had an ad running for quite some time where he spliced together bits and pieces of a podcast interview where she says she couldn’t figure out her tv remote and tripped over her dog gate. All that is juxtapositioned with implications that she has abused drugs and alcohol.
For what it’s worth I know the podcaster who did the interview and he has reposted the whole thing in its entirety a couple times over the last few weeks. Needless to say there is A LOT of missing context in Vivek’s ad.
And there are a number of state reps who I know who know her well and they say even the inclination of her abusing drugs and alcohol is ridiculous.
@dbmhoosier why would they. Smarmy little rat boy. Hit the gym. That vest drives me nuts. My pop wore those vests. A fashion disaster. Jeans. A three button Henley. And a sleeveless vest. But he was built like a retired Russian wrestler with a big beer belly and shoulders that could support a 5000 sq foot homes worth of drywall. He wore vests because he needed his arms. To carry somethin. To make someone’s ears touch. Whatever. I hate this weasel.
i really need to ignore politics and get off this board
@bradstevens Murt didn't mean it. He loves vests on men.

You’re burying the lede on the Alcoholic you plan on voting for.
- The Call: According to the Bexley Police Department 911 log, Acton's daughter told the dispatcher that her mother "had been drinking and throwing things and breaking glass". [1]
- The Police Report: Officers who arrived at the home documented a verbal argument between Acton and her husband. The report noted that Acton pulled a wall-mounted mirror down, shattering the glass, after feeling antagonized, and that both parties had been drinking along with an unknown amount of prescription medication. [1, 2, 3]
- Prior Reports: Public records also indicated a previous police dispatch to the home in 2013 involving Acton's daughter as a teenager concerned about a potential altercation. [1]
- Acton's Campaign Defense: Acton’s campaign and her running mate, David Pepper, described the 2019 event as a simple, isolated verbal argument between husband and wife, suggesting the 911 call was made out of concern for Acton’s safety. They disputed characterizations of intoxication, stating she had only a single drink at dinner and that prescription medication was part of long-term migraine treatment. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Reactions: Then-Health Director Acton did not report the 2019 police visit to Governor Mike DeWine at the time, which DeWine later noted he wished she had disclosed. The newly surfaced 911 log has been highlighted by political opponents, including the campaign of Republican gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy, amid a contentious race. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Not a fan of the new finance bro vests.@dbmhoosier why would they. Smarmy little rat boy. Hit the gym. That vest drives me nuts. My pop wore those vests. A fashion disaster. Jeans. But I do love me an old school tweed one, sometimes even a sweater vest (button down style, of course). And under a chunky, shawl collar cardigan? C'est magnifique!
@unclemark she's comically bad. like most dems. cartoons really. the vek would be world's better. but he's revealed himself to be a total pos rat. that nerd rat fuck we all hate. so if she wins no one should be surprised
He's also a rapper, so that automatically disqualifies him, no?
@carramrod so your take is that she is an alcoholic drug addict but wasn’t sexually assaulted by her step dad.
If you were an Ohio voter I’d say the money Ramaswamy and conservative Super PACs spent on advertising was well-spent.
@ohio-guy I think she might be an alcoholic because the police have had to go to her house multiple times when she flies into a drunk rage.
She was probably sexually assaulted as well. Which is sad, but has no bearing on if you should vote for her. Being an alcoholic does.

So a run-in with the law while drinking makes one an alcoholic.
Jumped any fences lately?
@unclemark I wish you so forgiving to Hegseth. But you aren’t.
You're a hack.
Umm, doesn't that then mean that you don't think Hegseth should be anywhere near the DOD if those same standards apply?
@squeakyclean he’s a clown that shouldn’t be leading DoW. Better than Austin? Sure, but that’s a low bar.
Personally, alcoholics in elected government doesn’t bother me much. But for some people it’s a problem.
I need a ruling on how this type of hypocrisy should impact Vivek Ramaswamy's ability to govern with conservative Christian values.
