snarl with the conciliatory post. Brings a tear to the eye.@bar-down Let's walk that back a little bit. I'd like for you to not get banned. I do agree Hickory is beyond reproach and we need to institute new laws that limit his or her ability to vote. Hick are you chick? Because I'm for abolishing the 19th.
You're still getting yelled at on Wednesday if Democrats sweep.
.
@snarlcakes I’ve got this Sammy moron threatening to ban me now 🤣. A guy who said no to free money from twenty and stoll to get off word press lol. I can’t snarl. Be well bubba. May our paths cross at 3Up
@hurryinghoosiers school shootings? 🤣. That’s a fraction of the daily murders you stupid ass. You are one dumb thing hickory.
YAGE
.
@snarlcakes not to mention this Wordpress is about as broke dick as it gets. Popups and all the rest.
Tell me what platforms you're using and I'll tell you how to eliminate the popups, as I've done numerous times.

You've bragged about running people off. That gets into Sammy's pocket.
@unclemark You're forgetting the third category, wealth taxes, of which there is currently only one significant one: property tax (estate tax, federal and state combined, accounts for a mere 1% of total government revenue). Assuming you pack payroll taxes in with income taxes and corporate taxes in with consumption taxes (on the theory the costs are passed down to consumers), the current breakdown is roughly this:
Income: 64%
Wealth: 12%
Consumption: 24%
I agree with you that this could be shifted, but I think we should account for the third category, and instead of 50/50, shoot for 33/33/33.
What is a logical rationale for taxing paper wealth, which can change materially in a short amount of time? It's illogical and nonsensical. Look at snarl - his net worth is bouncing 10% by the day in some cases.
We also need to consider how important consumption is to our economy and, under standard economic rules, that if you tax consumption much more than we do today (VAT, for instance), it will have a drastic negative impact on the economy in the near term.

Don't worry. He's not going anywhere.

@unclemark if sammy cared about making money he wouldn’t be on a platform where this atlas pop up appears with every post and hijacks the page. He’d have taken stoll (gone) and twenty’s offers.
@dbmhoosier you didn't answer any of my questions. Can you at least answer this. It's a good thing if Roger's wins, correct?
Both are equally terrible anti-American candidates. I don't want either in our politics. Rogers would be easily defeated in 2032 so I guess you'd have to give him a slight edge.
Very slight.

I didn't say anything about taxing "paper wealth."
My preferred wealth tax is the estate tax.

An estate tax is doing just that. Aside from the fact that it already exists (In 2026, an individual can generally transfer up to $15 million at death without federal estate tax. Above that threshold, the marginal federal rate reaches 40%. - per ChatGPT), an estate value can change dramatically, no different than a wealth tax on the living.
Imagine Jack Welch's net worth change over time, given the darling that GE used to be vs. what it is now. Now, I'm sure he diversified some of his holdings, but the GE of the late 90s and early 00s was not the same as it is now. Now, you may say - "who the f cares because I would trade places with his offspring in a second".
While I acknowledge why people think taxes on wealth are good ideas, and why they might share this sentiment, they aren't logical or practical. Unless you are going to force the government to "true up" or payback excess taxes it previously took when wealth was higher.

Irrelevant for estate or really any excise tax, which can be tied to a particular taxable event.

@bulk-vh Why not? He told a poster today that "with any luck one of these thugs put one right between your eyes," and karma suggests that the poster "eats a bullet" with any luck.
This isn't the first time he's posted violent shit directed at another poster. No one else does this, and there should be consequences.
