@arioznahoosier4554

There was a poster constantly posting before the 2020 election that the polls consistently showing Trump losing by about 5 percent nationally were all wrong and Trump would win fairly easily. After Trump lost by 4.8 percent nationally, that poster never posted again. Was that you?

Did you just make that up the polls were off towards biden by 3.7% so you clearly just made it up. Nice try though I will give you that. I get it you believe every single poll and betting market that shows dems up so a conversation with you is pointless. Election  night tell us who is right and I will revisit you at that point

-- attachment is not available --

I didn't make it up. I relied on my memory, and my memory was that the average margin of them was about 5 percent, but it was actually higher than that. Regardless, I was right that the margins were all in Biden's favor, and since the average was even higher than 5 it's even more ridiculous anyone would argue that Trump was going to win. That really would have been pretty dumb, right? Might have been so embarrassing that a poster would disappear after the election.

Look at the polls, some were almost dead on with the actual election margin, and some predicted a larger margin, but they were right about the eventual winner:

Nationwide opinion polling for the 2020 United States presidential election - Wikipedia

I typically rely on the RCP aggregated average and my memory was pretty much dead on correct with what they were:

Election Year Presidential Preference Polling and Voting Outcome | The American Presidency Project

When you say, "I get it you believe every single poll and betting market that shows dems . . ." you are wrong. I've not said that once. What I think is that it's pretty much certain the Democrats will take control of the House and that the Senate will be very close with the margin for the majority to be slim either way. This is what the polls show. I don't put much stock into the betting market. In fact, I doubt I've ever even visited one of those sites.

@arthur-dent Musk can get different loans because he's better with capital than other people.  You could as well if you were as productive as him. If you have a problem with it, do better.  Also, wealthy people don't just bury their money under a mattress.  They invest it and are rewarded or punished based on whether it was invested wisely.  Not to mention the wealthy already pay a majority of the taxes.  Lastly, if you don't like the system you can always join the party and become a Bitcoiner.

Erickson has had enough. I think a plurality, and probably a majority have had enough. I've been following US politics for most of my life where I was old enough to remember, at least since the early 90s. How far we've come... Straight down the shitter. Every cycle is worse than the last.

For 10 years I've argued that Trump is the worst of the worst. He's been even more pathetically bad than I predicted a decade ago. But the opposition in the Dems have become progressively unhinged during the same time. And what was left of the traditional Republican party just bent over and took it up the tailpipe

The crisis of leadership in this country is hitting a level for freighting than you'll find at your local haunted houses.

We need a national exorcism this Halloween.

That fat f#ck isn't tired of eating any sandwiches.  He needs to get off of twitter and get on a treadmill.  What a miserable slob.

Statistically speaking it is impossible for everyone to be in the top .1%. but that seems to be all some Republicans worry about. The failure of supply side, it is a giant screw you to workers.

Who are these “workers”. Presumably the top 1% or 10% aren’t working because maybe their hands aren’t as calloused or they don’t come home covered in dirt.

The fetishization of the “working class” needs to stop. Show me the person, and I can tell you if they’re being screwed.

Casting broad strokes allegations that workers are being screwed by capital owners is just commie bullshit.

Democrats are warning their party not to get too bullish on House gains

New internal polling for both parties show GOP candidates gaining ground in key Midwest seats.

@arthur-dent importing 3rd world slave labor and offshoring jobs is a giant screw you to American workers, but it's great for some corporations, businesses, and the wealthy....aka the people you are decrying.  By the way Elon's businesses (aka investments from his wealth) employs over 100k Americans.  The problem is you don't know anything about economics, but you think you do.

@carramrod lol...at any conservative posting that arbitrary trash from a bunch of sh#t libs.  Bush is a bottom dweller.  FDR was the worst President in history.  Terrible f#cking person as well.

lol at anyone citing presidential rankings by “historians” for any purpose.

This is an interesting read.  I don't agree with his ranking of Lincoln, but he's consistent for what he dislikes.  I can't argue with his rankings on FDR and Wilson.  Those are the two President's I despise the most.   He's correct on Harding and how he handled the 1920 depression that came out of WWI.  The Forgotten Depression by James Grant is a good book that dives into it.

https://twitter.com/handre/status/2112916819996553237?s=46

This is the kind of pedestrian, low-level thinking you get from someone who can't rise above the level of idealogue. "The best presidents are the ones who did the things I believe are right, regardless of outcome, and the worst are the presidents who did the things I dislike, regardless of outcome!" Dipshittery.

Presidents should be judged, not on whether or not they followed your personal political predisposition, but how they responded to the exigencies of their particular administration. So Lincoln ignored - actually, essentially rewrote - the Constitution. But he also saved the Union. He did what was necessary to navigate the most dangerous time our nation had ever seen. You don't like the political theory behind it? Tough shit.

@goat and yet you're grading him poorly because of your own doctrine of U.S. land mass above all else.  Don't judge to him to harshly 😉

@snarlcakes I don't grade Lincoln poorly at all. Don't know where you got that idea.

I'm not a fan of Erickson (shocker), but that's some pretty righteous anger he's dispensing. Probably a lot of people out there who are right with him on this.

@goat I was referring to your comments about the guy who wrote the X post.  You're just dismissing his ideology with your own ideology.  I agree with you his ranking of Lincoln is way too low.
