lol.. that's not radical (maybe in 2010). It's just the normal sh#t lib boomer bending the knee. It's one of many reasons why Democrats got their a#% kicked by Trump twice. Or was it 3 times @dbmhoosier?
He's NOT black so that wouldn't make any sense. In fact, THAT would be strange. This is not difficult at all to understand. He didn't want a crew of people that were just like him. He could have thrown in his height, weight, schooling, marriage status, etc. to further emphasize his point as if he's addressing morons, and apparently, you'd still not get that he didn't want people the same as him.He said he "doesn't want 7 white guy..."
You can't just cut a quote off where it suits you, what was the full quote.
He said he doesn't want 7 white guys. That should suffice. What if he had said he doesn't want 7 black guys?

None of us claim to be intellectual giants (except for maybe COH), but LBB has brought the average intellect of this forum down by several points. Nuance is definitely not his strong suit.
He’s not a nutcase, he’s just a Democrat. (I know, I know . . . .)
Democrats believe that skin color, sex, and how people appear, and what demographic groups they belong to, determine how people think. That’s crazy. If Kelly isn’t smart enough to ignore considerations skin color or sex from determining qualifications, he shouldn’t be selecting the crew.
When picking a space crew, your bonna fide occupational qualifications have already eliminated the majority of people, so you are necessarily confined to a pretty narrow field of experiences and backgrounds. That will certainly produce a lot of similar thinking.
Kelly said he wouldn't want 7 white guys. That's an idiotic and radical statement. He's obviously ingratiating himself to the radical, American, left. His position should be that he wants to be surrounded by the 7 most capable people. Of course, I know better than to ever expect a leftist to be reasonable and honest.
lol you’re both wrong. Kelly is right in the need for varying for skillsets. Ie. not 7 navy test pilots.
There’s zero reason at all for him to inject race and gender obviously. But Democrats can’t help themselves.
I think you have a reasonable point even if I don't completely agree. He could have limited it to a much broader pool of astronaut wannabees and how that broader pool makes it better.
As much as I love the astronauts of my youth, they had that curt verbal quality that doesn't lend to stimulating the imagination. Listening to these 4 describe what they were seeing was much more captivating. I started on landing on NASA but it was dryer than the Sahara. One thing I dealt with in IT, the more jargon the less people listen.
I know better than to ever expect a leftist to be reasonable and honest
Are you a new form of Lucy?
Says you.He said he "doesn't want 7 white guy..."

Trump: “…bibislittlebitch is a … fat cunt … with syphilis … and is …. dumber than … a box of rocks … and his mama … works in … a brothel… “
Works for me.
(joke)
You're unbelievable these days. His point was extremely simple to understand and 100 percent accurate. It's actually a textbook leadership case. Plus, you're wrong in your effort to expand on Kelly's very simple point, the range of fields, backgrounds and experiences of the astronauts for today's space missions is very varied. He’s not a nutcase, he’s just a Democrat. (I know, I know . . . .)

@hhlurker I always thought Lucy was a liberal spoofing a conservative. I think this version is just taking it to 11.
But I have been wrong before. There was one time that I thought I made a mistake and hadn't. ;).
Full disclosure, I had the exact same thought a couple days ago. I’m thinking this is somebody who actually got kicked out of Ohio State forums. Detritus. Driftwood. Wreckage. Something of the sort.@hhlurker I always thought Lucy was a liberal spoofing a conservative. I think this version is just taking it to 11.

Well, this thread was started by a poorly attempted gotcha post by a moronic MAGA and the MAGAs, moron and not, have chimed in to defend the moronic MAGA's post. It's already played itself out. Might as well leave them to it. I'm out - I'm going to play a quick 9 holes and then watch the end of the Masters. It's shaping up to be a close finish.
Now is the time to point and laugh at you. Like a circus clown.
You're a racist that wants to base decisions on race whereas I support being color blind and basing decisions on merit. Thanks for the laughs. Now slither back into the sewer where all racists belong.
