I've read what he really said and what he meant is crystal clear. He wouldn't want a crew made up of people exactly like him who thought exactly like him because he wants different points of view so he could see problems from all angles and make the best and most informed decisions. He's absolutely right. He said he "doesn't want 7 white guy..."
You can't just cut a quote off where it suits you, what was the full quote.
I would have said, "I don't want seven BALD white guys . . ." because I'm bald (by choice) too. 😉 The point is made clear that he didn't want seven people just like him, who thought like him. I wouldn't either. The best decisions I've ever made weren't always what I initially thought my decision would be. They were modified or even changed after listening to the recommendations and thoughts of the people who worked for me and/or with me. That was made clear during his first administration and become even more clear in this one. I said he'd very likely fail a leadership class at any military academy or ROTC unit. He's a lousy leader. Really, he's just a bully with incredible power. He reminds me of my first CO, who was a horrible Captain. He literally said, and I'm paraphrasing, "I was the guy that was bullied in school. Now I'm the bully." I've never had a CO like that since him. If I had, I'd have gotten out after four years as I planned for most of my time serving under that first CO. His replacement was a true leader, and it was that way the rest of my career.
