Is 2025 too far in the distant past? On Sunday, April 13, 2025, part of the Pennsylvania Governor's Residence was set on fire in a political assassination attempt while Governor Josh Shapiro and his family slept inside. Old history, right?
It's a shame that loser didn't OD when he tried. Can't be a supporter of Israel without being shot and firebombed by Palestinian sympathizers.
I laughed.
Note to Kimmel: what kind of a dumbass makes a joke about dead loved ones and then calls it a roast?
What kind of POTUS celebrates the death of a highly decorated United States Marine Corps combat vet who, like the POTUS, came from money and could have avoided serving in Vietnam but, unlike the POTUS, volunteered for service, even waiting a year for a knee injury to heal so he could pass the physical?
You need to get your head out of your hyper-MAGA arse, at least occasionally.
When I was young, I took a “comedy class” from a local comedian in Oakland. After some discussion on humor he told us to put together a few minutes of jokes and have at it in front of the group. Mine sucked. I was clueless in every way possible. One person laughed, our instructor at the back. I think he did that with every act, trying to seed the audience, get the feeling going. I appreciated his help.
Even more reason to fire his ass. He is a total idiot. The first amendment has zero to do with the shitstorm he thinks is a roast.
Note to Kimmel: what kind of a dumbass makes a joke about dead loved ones and then calls it a roast? Who got roasted with your dead guy joke?
"Good. I'm glad he's dead."
As a reminder, in the last 6 months, Donald Trump has:
- Posted a threat to commit genocide against an entire country
- Celebrated the deaths of Robert Mueller and Rob Reiner
- Called for the arrest of military personnel for posting a video that contained completely factual statements and said they should be charged with "Seditious behavior, punishable by death".
- Said in a NYE post that his rivals should rot in hell
Not a single one of those was a "joke".
The republican response is "It's just mean tweets. Liberals are such snowflakes. You people have TDS."
My personal rule is, if you can dish it out, you have to be able to take it also. Trump is quite possibly the biggest hypocrite to ever hold public office in the history of man.
It just strikes me as rich that the hard core MAGA crowd who were 100% behind the "hang Mike Pence" J6 sentiment are experiencing an 11-hour conversion in which they loathe all political violence. This is in addition to the astute observation that their orange hero has no qualms at all at rejoicing in the deaths of his perceived political opponents, including life-long Republicans he tagged as being insufficiently loyal to him. This goes back at least to his rejoicing over the death of "non-hero" (in his opinion) John McCain.

what kind of a dumbass makes a joke about dead loved ones and then calls it a roast?
Jokes about decades-plus age differences between successful men and their young trophy wives, and how the young wife might well be anticipating a huge payday in the near future, have been around since well before you were born. But you know this.
I am not saying that those jokes are particularly funny, just that they are not based on a particularly unusual topic and also that they are unoriginal and not some specialty of Kimmel or any other apparently self-proclaimed humorist.

I don't watch Kimmel. If I watch anything late night it is Colbert. Usually neither, though.
Some of you who claim to offended by dark comedy... how are you with Dave Chappelle, or going way back, Richard Pryor?
The difference is that those guys are funny as hell. The closest Kimmel has ever been to being anything remotely like them was when he did this:
Guy is nothing more than a hypocritical moron who has found his audience and knows how to play to them.
Trump going off about him is soft AF. You reap what you sow.
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

If Trump wasn’t a dick Kimmel wouldn’t be a pussy? I don’t think this is how the world works.

It is to people who see EVERYTHING through the lens of oppressed/oppressor.
The joke she didn’t like was the unveiling of the painting in her honor (did you watch it?). She pulled that in with her Epstein presser. No two ways about it.@squeakyclean Trump has it coming. Melania doesn’t.
Actually Trump is ghey. Not sure that fits into what your point is.If Trump wasn’t a dick Kimmel wouldn’t be a pussy? I don’t think this is how the world works.
