@squeakyclean I don't think that's just a Paris thing. Drivers in most of the world are on kamikaze missions compared with what we are used to here. I've seen it a lot of places. I think most Americans just love their cars more and are more worried about getting dinged up. A lot of the world doesn't give a shit about a little bump and grind. Most aren't driving around in 75k SUVs. Other than the middle east where they will just wreck a $100k car and just dump it on the side of the road

@jdb

My bride and our daughter went to Bordeaux for a massive wine tour in June.

I’m just glad they didn’t come back smoking goofy French cigarettes and wearing berets . . .

Can anyone here play this game?

Will never eat fries with mayo, but MIL introduced me to Cheesecake Factory Corn.

Corn on the cob

Light covering of mayo

Sprinkle on parmesan and some Tanjin spice (red pepper & lime).

Holy freaking hell that is good.

Sounds very good, but also like Cheesecake Factory stole this from Mexican Street Corn.

France (and Europe) is great. But I don't understand why people only go in summer. The worst time to go IMO. I understand if you are taking kids, etc. But go in like spring or October and avoid the crowds and the heat.

Agree, if you don't have kids, there is no reason to go in the summer. Much better deals in spring and fall. With the minions we popped out, we lost our ability to do anything during the year except maybe Spring Break.

Seeking Mickey Mouse at Disneyland Paris with a beret was blasphemous. But he was nice and only offered my four year old one cigarette.

Bourdeaux is supposedly amazing, but got crushed with wildfires. It was good they went in June because even though it was hot af, the fires and smoke weren't a problem yet.

And sadly, still probably 600 less calories than everything else on the Cheesecake Factory menu.

Do you still have to play hopscotch on the Paris sidewalks to avoid the dog shit?

not really. Didn’t find it to be worse than other big cities. Do they have a poop map like San Fran?

I was there in 1987 and I had the distinct impression that Paris locals purposely let their dogs crap on the sidewalk to spite tourists. Glad to hear it’s improved. I love Paris otherwise.

OK it had nothing to do with tourists. Paris locals were pissed off at high taxes.
