With MKUltra, JFK, RFK, MLK, OK City bombing, 9/11, and COVID, no wonder conspiracy theories abound. Too much weird crap to ignore.
What is the OK City conspiracy?
I don't know as much about MKUltra, but all the popular conspiracy theories surrounding the others listed have been thoroughly debunked. Most, like the 9/11 Truther conspiracy theories were ridiculous nonsense from the start. With MKUltra, JFK, RFK, MLK, OK City bombing, 9/11, and COVID, no wonder conspiracy theories abound. Too much weird crap to ignore.
What is the OK City conspiracy?
A good read posted before:
"Trust No One" - Our obsession with conspiracy theories
The OKC conspiracy was about Middle East terrorist involvement in the plot and execution. I bought into it a little initially, but as evidence came to light, I realized there was no ME Terrorist involvement in that one and it was homegrown terrorist McVeigh and his buddy whose name escapes me. It was what the investigation, prosecution and convictions said it was. With MKUltra, JFK, RFK, MLK, OK City bombing, 9/11, and COVID, no wonder conspiracy theories abound. Too much weird crap to ignore.
What is the OK City conspiracy?
No it doesn’t make sense. The undercover agents were not there to prevent a crime, they were there only to standby and help convict the marchers/ rioters. If the undercover agents encouraged a participant to enter the capitol, that is a very serious matter.
If the agents were there to prevent law breaking, they would have been clearly identified and would have discouraged illegal activity.
Blowback: The Untold Story of the FBI and the Oklahoma City Bombing (Book Review) – Dusty Reviews https://share.google/bgxgg0nuiTchIyY3Y
Good synopsis.
@bradstevens it’s a common misconception that Notre Dame is somehow a Conservative, Catholic institution.
@aloha-hoosier Terry Nichols.
The thing is this: Margaret Roberts is not a kook. She is highly respected. So her book and reporting cannot be dismissed.
"Margaret Roberts is a prize-winning investigative journalist and television producer. She graduated from Northwestern University and earned a master’s degree with honors in English literature at the University of Chicago.
As managing editor of Chicago Lawyer newspaper in the 1980s, Roberts conducted a death-row investigation that led to the exoneration of an innocent man. The story won Chicago’s Jacob Scher and Stick ‘O Type awards. Newsweek called it “investigative journalism at its best.”
Tried to get a picture but she claimed the phone was able to see through her clothes . . .Pics?Yet, a few years ago a lady at our local after work bar spent 30 minutes trying to convince me and others that the moon landings never happened. She had all the usual thoroughly debunked points down pat. It’s absolutely true that the larger a conspiracy is, the less likely it is to be real. This is why we can be confident the moon landings happened. Even if you think the conspiracy theorists have some interesting points and make sense, you can rest easy in the fact that, if they were faked, we’d know by now, because there’s no way the number of people necessary to pull it off could have kept that secret.
There's good evidence that McVeigh and Nichols did not act alone. The money probably came from those other right-wing militia types:Blowback: The Untold Story of the FBI and the Oklahoma City Bombing (Book Review) – Dusty Reviews https://share.google/bgxgg0nuiTchIyY3Y
Good synopsis.
Anti- govt militias were all the rage after Ruby Ridge and Waco. Also coincides with the internet going mainstream in the mid-90s.
I remember the huge chain emails with weird fonts and colors. My older relatives used to print some out and pass around copies. Usually crazy shit but we sat there reading until great Aunt Rhonda was satisfied.
I was only talking about the ME terrorist conspiracy theory. I’m aware there are unanswered questions about possible additional domestic involvement, but is that really a conspiracy theory? There's good evidence that McVeigh and Nichols did not act alone. ”Great American Patriots” my ass. There was nothing honorable, heroic or patriotic about the J6 rioters.https://twitter.com/EricLDaugh/status/1971973961815646306?t=CuJFDlUM7e3jvIZwuYCK0w&s=19
@aloha-hoosier I know. Not really directed at you per se, but my point is that's it's easy to dismiss CT's as just a kooky ideas by kooky people.
One of the main architects right here.
