there's no one viewing that board. football posts out number it 3-1. do people just not care about iu hoops anymore? the administration killed it with their inane smugness?
or iu is simply a football school now?
Well, it's one week from the start of our football season after the most successful season EVER on a mainly football site. Give it 3 months and the tide will turn to basketball. 6 months and if new coach is successful, then basketball to football posts 3-1.
@jdb i can name five shows on bravo that are better than iu basketball and have significantly higher ratings. stay in your lane
This is the dog days of basketball season. What is there to discuss? Nothing going on in College or NBA unless one is following Euro basketball tourney and Jokic vs Giannis vs Luka games. There may be some recruitung visits coming that will peak interest.
Most all my online time is being spent on 4 fantasy football drafts and rankings. 2 drafts down and 2 more over next weekend.
Also have started watching Twisted Metal Season 2. Stephanie Beatriz from Brooklyn 99 is one of my faves and she rocks in this show too. This appears to be my new favorite series to watch. The mechanic from Wings is back.
As soon as there is something worthy of discussing, myself or someone else on staff will post on it and engage in conversation. There's some visits of note coming up and things will really ramp up with previews and exhibitions in October but for now...there's not much to say. I think it was enjoyably active during and immediately after the Bahamas trip and there's cautious optimism that this year's team will at least be fun to watch.

Not dead...but a significant football team justifiably puts basketball on the back-burner (for me at least) until we get knocked out of the CFP mix.
Like the schedule adds this year, though.
@goat mine are gold medals.
More like golden globes.

You can probably name a better selling fanny pack than IU candystriped pants too... that doesn't change my stance
Heh, Murt is chasing that 4th medal like Susan Lucci chasing a daytime Emmy.
A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"
@bulk-vh “Nothing much happening recruiting wise right now.”
Yes, embarrassing
have we got a commit in basketball recently that i am unaware of?
It's all relative as to what constitutes "nothing much happening" and it's pretty sad that you're trying to pick a fight with another poster because you disagree with her about not much happening. Grow up.
We're in a period where kids can come onto campus, but coaches can't go on the road.
Visits are scheduled, but there's not a ton to report right now.
@boogie don't care. trying to get my fourth gold medal. not sure what the hold up is
@zeke4ahs Fisch was on Jim Coye's show and said he believed IU Fans will be happy with the style of play Coach Devries installs. Every year I wait to see them on the court before I get too upset or giddy.
While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon
@mcm666 I think this season is strange because it's a completely new team and most of them are unknowns. In fact some of us don't know much about any of them. I saw Sisley play while he was in high school, which means I haven't seen him play in a couple of years.
