I'm confident the House will be flipped. Minimum of ten seats flipped; should be more. I'm not confident about the Senate, although I do believe the good guys will pick up two, maybe three seats. Talarico and Platner are going to leave a lot of Dems with blue balls.
Obama's deal was bad, if the details of this deal are correct, it is a disaster.
I wouldn't call it a disaster, but it's certainly no improvement.
There really is no "deal" yet. This is a ceasefire, with an agenda for further negotiations. The conditions I've seen spelled out are pie-in-the-sky; the Iranians aren't going to just lay down.
The entire purpose of this "deal" is so that, in two months, we can announce that we have made such great progress that Iran has agreed to extend the negotiations by 30 days, and therefore we won't technically be fighting a war during the midterms.

As much as the GOP is worried about it, the state of the war will have very little effect on the midterms. The fact that everything we buy to live our lives day-to-day is too expensive is why the GOP will flatline in the midterms.
First the MAGA isolationists were mad, now the MAGA hawks are mad.
He started a war we didn't have to start and then lost it. Now all his jesters are running around trying to explain why this was actually a win. At a certain point people start getting tired of getting pissed on and then having people explain how great it is that we are finally getting rain.
I hope we get someone, anyone, with an ounce of gravitas in 2028.

How do you think they are going to feel about a deal that has already collapsed because the master negotiator had nothing in the agreement about Iran controlling its proxies in the region?
Trump dithered for 10 weeks and allowed time for the oil issue to become a bigger deal, basically handing the Iranian negotiating cards until they had a winning hand. We should have been bombing the shit out of them the whole time. They shut the Strait again today, that should be responded to with bombs. We should play things different and help take out their proxy Trump cards. Hezbollah is a problem? Have them eat a daisy cutter. You shut down the Strait? We destroy Tehran's largest power plant. You don't open it? We destroy another tomorrow.
All of their leadership would be on the menu.
