Hard to imagine a better single game performance in any of the major team sports.

I’d argue the Jordan flu game was the best (off the top of my head) performance. Scoring 38 points in Game 5 in a 2 point win with the flu is pretty damn amazing.
Magic Johnson (1980): As a rookie playing without the injured Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Johnson delivered a 42-point, 15-rebound, 7-assist performance to lead his team to victory in Game 6 of the NBA FinalsBy one player:
Three absolute bombs after throwing 100mph (or higher) fastballs, nasty sinkers, and sliders. Just insane. Given the stage, it might be the best performance in sports history.
