RIP
They better bury him well dressed.
Beard was a troubled guy with demons. I hope he's at peace and playing that Texas Shuffle with May Hill. (I'm apparently ready for hoops to start and thinking about Dusty May's departure to Dallas)
If you can find it, "That Little Old Band from Texas" is a great documentary about ZZ Top

I saw them in Evansville in late 1974. Kiss opened for them. I moved to Texas and have seen them many times. I went to 2 of the 3 Eliminator shows in Dallas. They did 3 nights in a row. It was like 2 different shows because I was in 2 different states of mind. The were absolutely one of tightest bands I ever seen during their prime. Everything was perfect with no errors. As they got older they became not so perfect with hteir show but they had so much good stuff they got up there and jammed away. I saw many concerts in Dallas in the 80's and 90's and go back and forth on whether I like the Eliminator tour or the Pink Floyd Momentary lapse of Reason tour the most. I could make a solid case for a Stevie Ray Vaughn concert where he started playing at 8 and played at the old Starfest ampitheater at Park Central. we left at 11:30 and he was still going. I can't name a most favorite Band but ZZ is most likely in the top 5 for me.
Man, that sucks.
I told my youngest he died and she asked, who that was. Then I showed her this...
She instantly knew who they were.
R.I.P.
They confirmed they will be continuing the current tour. Dusty's and Frank's replacements are permanent members. Billy is old too so this tour could be the last - though it's obvious that Billy loves to tour.

Billy was Angela Montenegro's Father!
Did anyone even consider investigating who Angela was? Anyone?
Morally Flexible. Kinda.
