"To call it a wave, I don’t think would be fully accurate,” DeSantis said during a press conference in Tallahassee. “It’s the political equivalent of a meteor strike that went all around the United States . . . "

Dems are now 240+ in the House, with several races still too close to call.

@big-ryan he’s a good one. And he’s right. This wasn’t a desire to see loony left ideas.  It was a direct attack on the failures of the president and party in charge.  Opportunity for him and some new faces to emerge

@big-ryan he's correct.  The GOP won't be winning too much the next several elections.  Enjoy the run Butch.  The lates 2020s-30s might be a repeat of the late 1920s-30s.  If you play your cards right you guys might get even get Medicare for all.

@snarlcakes Medicare for all would much more resemble Medicaid for all.  And that ain’t good

It is what it is.  Liberals and RINOs successfully allowed the country to be invaded by foreigners and there isn't an enough votes to have a functioning country.  I'm just trying to figure out what Hispanics want to get them to vote for conservatives.  Afternoon siestas?  Free sats? If you have ideas let me know.

@snarlcakes

1. A top flight league with relegation with kits that have more sponsors than nascar

2. Cheap cost of living

3.  No ICE searching their Home Depot

It appears that the Republican voters kept politicians to their word (surprised me that tribe wasn’t more important to the majority)

1. No new foreign wars (which allowed diesel to go to $7 in the Midwest)

2. Release Epstein files

3. Cut government spending

3 failures

Number 1 is a bridge to far.  I'm a cricket fan.  I guess it's the Indians then.

As an old, lifelong Republican and Libertarian voter - I can only hope it's an extinction-level event Ron. I can only hope.

Maybe R mammals will arise from the ashes instead of dinosaurs.

@openwheel MAGA was what people want save the coasts.  @goat is right about the percentage that typically decide the White House.  MAGA courted nailpounders with cheap gas and America first.  Many of whom were once Dems. Start a war and skyrocket the price of diesel and you lose them. They stay home or go back to being a Dem.

the message is clear going forward. It’s still maga.  No wars. Cost of living.  Secure borders.  No overreach.

And the fools MAGA voted for showed little to no ability in those areas.

So they're out.

Need a new 'grassroots' approach. Similar stuff, just not batshit crazy.

Your claim that the GOP is doomed over the next several election cycles is pretty ridiculous. Dems are more than capable of completing fucking this up.

What I am enjoying is the repudiation of Trump. Too bad it took most of the country 10 years to finally wake up.

@big-ryan yes and no. It’s a repudiation of his policies. He’s still the same guy he was two years ago when he carried the pop vote. It’s mostly a repudiation of the war and attendant impacts

Whatever happens to Trump, and despite his disastrous belated second term, I'll always have him crashing the Hillary Coronation to remember fondly. That was fun. The shock and tears on 90% of 'big media' screens that night was just glorious.
