@ohio-guy disagree for a couple of germane reasons. trending where the pulse of the coutnry is is the best indicator of who will be selected. what's more you keep seeing the same names repeatedly - that isn't a coincidence. it's viability. blue cities are a bellwether. nyc going socialist. our board of alderman president. socialist. now hollywood actors coming out in support of socialists. we aren't trending to more conservative views. we're going the other direction. anti jew pro palestine. aoc is the face of the party and a kignmaker at this point for the party. some dude in georgia who is a jew and had an inheritance has zero chance on the national scene. an outlier person whose beliefs are not in keepign with where the party is today. that's aoc. that's newsom now trying to run ads to seem like he is too. that's harris getting on board. these acts aren't a coincidence. you've been in denial for quite a long time now. it's weird
@bar-down Polling related to the next presidential run at this point means relatively nothing. There is a void in Democratic leadership right now and she gets a lot of facetime so most the people who don't pay attention are going to say that about her.
Polling in '26 doesn't necessarily lead to being the nominee in '28. The only political analysts taking an AOC presidential run seriously are on the right side of the political spectrum.
Yah, it's a complete crapshoot at this point. Lots of world and national events between now and the start of presidential primary season. Nobody knows who the nominee will be, and it could end up being someone who is barely on anyone's radar right now.

Barack Obama came onto the national stage with his speech at the DNC in 2004, but wasn't a serious presidential candidate until he officially announced in 2007. Even then, no one thought a black man could win in 2008.
And Trump announced his '16 run in '15 and at the time no one actually thought a crazy corrupt person would win a major political party nomination. Yet here we are. Even a year out in Republican primaries he had his work cut out for him to actually win the nomination.
